Hello h93,
I understand that you are getting a communication error when trying to print to your OfficeJet 4620. We need to go ahead and get your printer connected back to your network. First you will need to restore your network defaults from the front panel of your printer, see below:
Wrench (Setup Menu) > Wireless > Restore network defaults
Once the network defaults have been restored this will allow your Auto Wireless Connect to search for your network. HP Auto Wireless Connect is a technology that allows you to connect your printer to your wireless network automatically without having to connect any cables or enter your wireless network settings such as your network name or password.
- Connect the computer to the network that the printer is broadcasting. It is usually HP-setup-(the printer name) and then part of the MAC address. The wireless light will still be flashing on the printer at this point, this is normal since this is not an actual adhoc connection.
- Load up the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in the browser on your mobile device or computer. The default IP for autowireless is 192.168.223.1.
- Go to the network tab along the top of the EWS.
- Click on Wireless Setup Wizard along the lefthand side to begin configuring the printer.
I hope this was helpful. please let me know if you require more assitance with the wireless setup.
Thanks,
I work on behalf of HP
