Hi HP'ers,
I had to do a Full Reset (Engineering Menu, no Semi-, Partial Reset) to get my Officejet 6700 Premium working again.
As you know a Full Reset does a bit more than go back to factory settings.
I am wondering now, if a Full Reset affects more settings than I can actually access within the standard settings?
After the Reset the Printer feels a bit slow over all, thats why I'm wondering.
Maybe there is someone offically from HP around and can give me a short answer.
Thanks so far.

Hi meinster,This printer has a non-removable printhead, and if it didn't check the print alignment or complete its maintenance you could end up having issues while attempting to print. The maintenance keeps the print head in good condition so you do not get clogged nozzles or bad print quality.
Right, I agree with you that the printer needs it's maintenance occasionally.
But why does it print FIRST and then decides to have it's maintenance.
If the nozzles are clogged, it wouldn't print !
I'll try to unistall und reinstall the printer and give a notice.

Hi meinster,
Are you indicating that this printer will run a cleaning procedure after every print job or just after you run a long print job. If you run a long print job it is going to run the maintenance procedure to make sure the print head is primed and ready for the next print job you send it.

my 6700 just stopped coping and scaning, there is no sound on the feed and the blue circle goes on endlessly. Scan tells me to check with administrator
printing is ok
what is the fix for this annoyance
Thx John
