I can't scan slides with my Scanjet 4070, the software (Director HP) that comes with the scanner doesn't work with Windows 7, somebody knows a new software or a new version that controls the scanner?

I just upgraded from XP to Win7 a little while ago.  I have a HP OfficeJet 7200 and full HP Director software loaded automatically along with the drivers.  Everything works great.

That is correct, HP Director has been replaced with HP Solution Center which has similar features.

I installed HP Photosmart C5280 All in One on my computer, on which I installed Windows 7.

However, HP Director is missing. The program was succesfully installed.

Is there somebody who can help me?

Is there any way to get HP Director to work with my HP Photo Smart 77760 Printer and my HP 3570c Scanner?   I'm running Windows 7 on an HPE5101t compuwter.

Hello Mr. Headrick, The HP Solution Center is inferior in every way to the HP Director, as it doens't allow one to set one's own parameters when scanning, printing, faxing, copying. It instead tries to think for the user, rather than providing tools that allow the consumer to think for and use the product without the great deal of issues inherent in HP Solutions Center. According to Hewlett Packard, it no longer uses the HP Director, as it (HP Director) was a third-party software provided outside of Hewlett Packard. Whomever created it, deserves every accolade and kudos. For example, when scanning with HP Solutions, the document when saved automatically appends a numerical sequence whether or not one wishes it to. It also will default to a save location, rather than allowing one to change the default settings permanently for the user. Even when one goes into the default setting, one must change the settings "each and every time" for each scan.

I too use the OfficeJet 7410 and HP Solutions works terribly with the 7410.

Is there anyway to get HP Director to work with my HP PSC 1600 All-in-One series in order that I can check my ink levels ?
