Gary,

I can not scan to email - says can not connect to web services. I have tried all troubleshooting listed in this thread and nothing works. It worked once when I set up the printer about 2 weeks ago. The apps on the printer screen also do not work. Any help would be much appreciated!

I also cannot connect to web services on my HP 7520 printer, what is going on?

I don't know if this will work for you, but I had to reset my printer before the email scan feature would work again. These are the instructions to reset your printer configuration. With this you loose your ePrint email address. If this is important to you, you can change it back but you have to wait 6 months before you can re-use that email address. Below are the instructions I used from message #158 on page 16 of the forum:

Be warned: this resets your printer and you will need to reconfigure everything.  That said, it worked for me.  HP may delete this for reasons I disagree with but this is HP's response:

I understand that you're having issues with your scan app. The next step is to complete a semi full reset. Keep in mind after doing the semi full reset you will have to connect printer back to network. The steps are below for your printer. Please do not post this information on the forums and check out thread before doing steps.

To do a semi-full reset.
1. Make sure the printer is on the home screen.
2. Touch the Home button, then the return/back button then followed by the cancel button/red x then the return/back button. The buttons won't be lit up, but will still respond to touch.

3. If you do step 2 right, you will see Service Menu come up on the printer's front panel select it.
4. Touch the right arrow until you see Resets Menu and touch OK.
5. Touch the right arrow until you see Semi-Full Reset and touch OK.
6. The printer will shut down.
7. Turn the printer back on and go through the setup screens.

I was on the phone with tech support. I was told to use the HP Utilities section on the desktop to scan, save the document to the pc and attach to an email as needed. The scan to email part of the app on the printer will not work anymore. we tested it and it worked.

it's actually the HP Photosmart 7520 series icon on the desktop

Look on the left side of the screen, above the words "Report Innappropriate Content".
