This option worked for me:

1. Obtain your printer's IP address
a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
4. On the left select networking.
5. Select Network Address (IP)
6. Select Manual DNS Server
a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.

If that doesn’t work, try this one:

To do a semi-full reset.
1. Make sure the printer is on the home screen.
2. Touch the Home button, then the return/back button then followed by the cancel button/red x then the return/back button. The buttons won't be lit up, but will still respond to touch.
3. If you do step 2 right, you will see Service Menu come up on the printer's front panel select it.
4. Touch the right arrow until you see Resets Menu and touch OK.
5. Touch the right arrow until you see Semi-Full Reset and touch OK.
6. The printer will shut down.
7. Turn the printer back on and go through the setup screens.

HP warns against this procedure, although it came from them.

This used to work. Now when I try to scan to email, I get all the way to where I choose that it is a Document and then I get the message "Unable to connect to web services". I have printed the Wireless Network Test Results and everything looks great. Also the Network Configuration page looks great. My network name, Says it is connected to the Internet. I was able to download updates. IP Address looks right.

I downloaded and ran the HP PRint and Scan Doctor and it crashed.

Hi
I am having the same 'web server' message and cannot scan - any suggestions please?
Thanks
HP Recommended

I obtain the same error message when I try to scan to email from my HP7520 printer - "Unable to connect to Web services". I tried a number of suggestions that other users tried, but also without success. Can anyone help?

Maybe when I got this error, it was a fluke, but all I did was reset to factory settings, basically and all is well.

How do u reset to factory settings
HP Recommended
From the touchscreen, touch the wrench. When the menu opens, click on tools. Scroll down and select, "Restore Factory Defaults".

That's what I did and Web Services were restored after I went through the setup process.

I hope this works for you, but like I said, when I got the error, I did this and it worked.
