This option worked for me:
1. Make sure the printer is on the home screen.
2. Touch the Home button, then the return/back button then followed by the cancel button/red x then the return/back button. The buttons won't be lit up, but will still respond to touch.
4. Touch the right arrow until you see Resets Menu and touch OK.
5. Touch the right arrow until you see Semi-Full Reset and touch OK.
6. The printer will shut down.
7. Turn the printer back on and go through the setup screens.

@MNW wrote:This used to work. Now when I try to scan to email, I get all the way to where I choose that it is a Document and then I get the message "Unable to connect to web services". I have printed the Wireless Network Test Results and everything looks great. Also the Network Configuration page looks great. My network name, Says it is connected to the Internet. I was able to download updates. IP Address looks right.
I downloaded and ran the HP PRint and Scan Doctor and it crashed.

I obtain the same error message when I try to scan to email from my HP7520 printer - "Unable to connect to Web services". I tried a number of suggestions that other users tried, but also without success. Can anyone help?

That's what I did and Web Services were restored after I went through the setup process.
I hope this works for you, but like I said, when I got the error, I did this and it worked.
