Hi trainerdz,

A successful semi full reset would reset the printer to factory defaults and clear the memory.  If the printer was on a wireless network, it would be taken off and would need to be reconnected.  If you want to give this a try, I can send the steps to you in a private message to your HP Forums in-box.  I would need you to agree not to publish the steps.  Let me know what you decide.

Hi Dan,

Do you also have the Photosmart C4780 ?

Can you give more detail about how the printer is not recognizing the cartridge?  Is there an error message, or is the printer just not printing black?

What is the operating system for your computer?

Is the printer connected by usb, Ethernet or wireless?

hy Rich,

Yes i do have a Photosmart HP C4780

My printer is not connected to any of that (USB, Ethernet or Wifi)

After i start the printer - on display i can see a message like "Problem printing cartridge" and the power button is blinking and that's it nothing more.

I've replaced old cartridge with a new one - problem persist
