For anyone running Windows 10, uninstall the latest Adobe security patch (kb4580325) and Solution Center will open and work as it did before. After uninstalling I blocked it from coming back in wushowhide. I believe this patch includes a trigger that rendered Flash inoperable on 01/12/2021. I can’t guarantee that Microsoft won’t sometime in the future send an update that completely nukes and uninstalls Flash for good but I’ll keep an eye on things and try to block it in wushowhide before it rears its ugly head. BTW, I am running the latest version of Windows 10 but I think it would work with all versions.

A quick solution to your dilemma is to download the free HP Scan and Capture from the Microsoft store.  It doesn't have the same functionality and control that Solution Center has (when it's working, of course) but it will get you out of your immediate hole.  A far better solution is here, but it takes a little more effort to set up

I have the same problem.  But don't forget it was Patch Tuesday this week.  Could have been Microsoft's fault.

@critterskcb Yeah, unfortunately I don't think I can help you there. The stuff I'm working on can be saved as an image file so I've been able to more or less get things working for my specific needs. My only issue now is having to constantly put the settings back in and (more importantly) the fact that files are three times as big for reasons I cannot piece together.

Solution 1 Worked for me. HP Solution Center is working.

in the video, the HP Scan and Capture worked as well.

Therefore, to be compliant in the long term, my opinion is to use the second workaround which does not include a flash version in order to work.

Thank you for your explanation.

Thank you, the "HP Scan and Capture" solution works perfect! Way less problems installing than with the Solution Center setup!
And plenty of options in the "settings" part.

Changing the system date certainly works.  Thanks.

Followed your instructions. This workaround works like a charm.
Thanks

I installed the "Run as date" utility....and reset the date to Jan 7th  ....Solution Center works just fine... I hope that utility didnt contain a virus or  trojan....

Same probem here. Tried installing the full driver again, didn't help. I have an HP Deskjet F2280. I hope HP will fix this. If not a completely functioning All-in-one device will go to the garbage.
