I'm having the same issue with requesting a password to get into the system menus.  Can you send me the procedure?

Thanks.

This reset the printer and I can access it now.  I thought this procedure would bring it back to factory. It didn't bring up the language or regions.  The language stayed the same and the region setting never came back up to set.   The default paper was reset to A4, which I set back to letter.  But otherwise, it worked an I thank you for your quick response and assistance.  Thanks again.

Hello again Gbc1,

No worries, glad to assist.  I agree, that is odd, it should have requested language/region.  Just in case, below is a link with some great information on making these types of settings changes for future reference.  Also, FYI - there is a fairly recent FW update for this model, second link below.

Best,

Stix4

The power light is lit on my printer but blank LCD. Computer doesn't recognize either. Tried left arrow and cancel hold down at startup but no luck. Out of ideas. Any help would be great.

Thanx for the reply! Did like you suggested for 60 secs...nothing, still blank.

Hello again Timg001,

Thanks for the status update.  Hmmm, look over the below link, specifically Solution Two.  Let's see if we can get the patient stable before proceeding.

Yes, I've tried all of the steps listed. The printer has power, cycles when it is turned on, just nothing on the LCD and not recognized by computer and unresponsive to reset.

I've been messing with this printer for a week now...finally decided to try a forum....but I think this one might just be DOA. 🙂 Doesn't seem like there is much else to try.
