Hi @smalltown,
When you install the software for your printer, you will have a shortcut added to your Desktop. Depending on which version of software you have, you will see an icon named Solution Center, or Printer Assistant. What printer model do you have? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Knowing your printer model will help me to determine which version of software you have. If you can not find the icon, I will be able to help you.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you.

In windows 8 or 10:
1) Start the scan program
2) On your taskbar right click the HPScan button and select "Pin this program to taskbar"
3) Open File Explorer and navagate to
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
4) username is your username
5) You should see an icon now for HPScan, you can now right click on it to pin it to your start menu or copy it to your desktop or move it to your desktop

Running Windows 10 and have new Officejet Pro8620 (have 2 8600's and have solved the problem with them) and need a scan icon on my taskbar - how on earth can I make that happen? I've tried everything I know.

Hi @Boober9910,
From what I can see, there is no full feature software and driver available for the 750 for Windows 10: HP PSC 750 All-in-One Printer Drivers.
You might consider upgrading to a newer model, in which case you could call in and speak with somebody in tech support to see if we have a trade in trade up option available to you.
What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
