Thanks for your response.  I did what you suggested but still no luck.

On page 3 of this thread this is what worked for me:

After downloading the driver, going to "downloads" folder and running it, nothing happens.  It is then that you need to find your Temporary Internet Folder and do this:

"Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.

Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Double click HpSetup.exe, follow the installation and check for any difference."

This way the setup wizard will start running.  You get a choice between wireless printing or USB (for wireless you need an ethernet cable from the back of the printer to the modem)

Thanks for your help.  I did all that.  But when it comes time to "Double click HpSetup.exe",  I don't see that anywhere to be able to click on it.

It's not always easy to find because there are so many .exe files in that folder (something like 1400 files).  I actually used the search bar in the upper right of file explorer.

The other thing you could try is to blow out everything in the temp folder and redownload the setup thing.  Click on that and then try the whole thing again.

I searched and it's simply not there.  Thanks for trying to help me.  I'm ready to throw this thing in the river.

I am unable to install the printer.  When I extract the files nothing happens and the printer does not show up in the device list if I try and add.  I am really not sure what should happen to get this working.

Hi,

Are you all using the M1210 Series printer?

The issue may happen for several models, for this model the HpSetup.exe file would be located on the temp folder, for some other models it may be located under C Drive.

I suggest going through below steps which list the extraction path for any affected printer:

Hope that helps,

Shlomi
