i guess the problem is not solve yet?   I just kill my printer because of the firmware update last night.   and i have read and read to find the solution for it, but NO SOLUTION>>>>>    One question is  HP know the firmware will kill the printer but they still leave it there for the sucker like me to download and install.   Now the printer just keep initializing.

SO SHOULD I THROW THIS PRINTER TO GARBAGE AND BUY A NEW ONE (NOT HP FOR SURE), OR KEEP IT  AND WAIT DAY AFTER DAY FOR YOU GUY FIND A SOLUTION.  HP SHOULD KEEP IN MIND THAT, PEOPLE USE THE PRINTER EVERY DAY FOR THEIR WORK AND THEY HAVE NO TIME FOR WAITING, SO GUESS HOW UPSET THEY ARE WHEN THE PRINTERS GET BURN BECAUSE OF HP FAULT.  GOOD LUCK IN FUTURE BECAUSE YOU JUST LOSE ONE CLIENT AND MORE, BECAUSE I WILL SPREAD AROUND AND TELL MY CLIENTS STAY AWAY FROM  HP

I'm still having the same problem. I checked and responded to the private messages and ultimately no solution offered but to purschase another HP printer. What a waste of time!
