I don't suppose this new update would be of any help getting my 1536 ouot of its permant display "firmware curruptready 2 download"?
I have contacted HP support with them telling me only it ismy falult for having downloaded thier firmware and that they can only give me a discount on a much bettern printer thatn I need that ould in the end cost me more than i paid for this one. They told me the issue can't be repaired but refused to pass me up the line to the supervisor who was 'unavailable" I have posted a new threadabout the 1536 but dont' much to come from it. I am currently trying to ocate my proof of purchase to see if they can extend my aranty or come up with another date for it expiration that might put me into the warranty but so far no luck.

i'm wondering why HP is sending "private messages" with the answer to the 'initializing' issues. I too have his problem and don't know what to do. I'm really confused. Is my hardly-used printer salvageable or not?
thank you.
