Bluetooth should work with certain mobile devices, iOS devices are completely out of the picture however due to a limitation of that operating system.
iOS devices lack the required bluetooth printing protocols as Schlomil mentioned near the beginning of the thread. You will be able to pair the devices just fine, but the iOS device wont know how to actually send print data to the printer.
For other mobile devices it can be hit or miss as you generally need third party drivers to print. Android has several print apps available that will support this, some are obiously better than others, and a free app wont always be a great app. One of the top apps for this type of thing seems to be printershare premium. This is a paid app, but will let you print a test page with the free version to prove that it works. I dont have any experience personally with the app, and it isnt something that they will be able to help you with through tech support as they wont have information on these apps.
The same thing seems to be true for blackberry, and windows mobile devices. Simply do some searching through the respective app store of each device and you may find an app that will do the job for you.

Thanks for info , so your saying that if i download PrinterShare Premium ($5.49) it will be able to make my ipad read/be compatible with the officejet 100 ?? even tho one has airprint tech and the other bluetooth (ipad also has bluetooth of coarse ) if this is right will solve all my problems . I have downloaded 2 Hp print apps with no luck

Although printershare premium is available on iOS as well it is still stopped by the limitations of iOS. It has almost all the same features other than bluetooth printing compared to the android version.
For iOS there is currently no solution for bluetooth printing that i was ever able to find, even with a separate app.

Here is how I print to my HP Officejet 100 Bluetooth Mobile Printer from my iPad. The Apple guy told me it could not be done... I proved him wrong, then showed him how 🙂
This works for iPhone printing also!
Equipment Used:
1. iPad 2
2. HP Officejet 100 Bluetooth Mobile Printer
3. Printer USB Cable
4. Apple Airport Express
5. Power Source
6. PC (or Mac) for initial setup only. NOT needed to print later!
When performing initial Airport Express setup with included CD from your PC or Mac, go through the wizard but when asked to setup network, choose SKIP, finish out the install.
My logic behind this... I wanted the Airport Express to act as a mobile router but did not want/need it to have Internet access, only an address.
Now that the Airport Express has an address, I connect the HP Officejet 100 Bluetooth Mobile Printer to the Airport Express via USB. Now my BT Printer is a WiFi printer and I can use any printer app to print wirelessly from iPad.
NOTE: When you are ready to print, simply change your iPad (or iPhone WiFi) connection to your Airport Express address. When you are done printing, switch it back to your standard WiFi (if any).
For road warriors like myself; if you add (or have) portable electric outlets in your automobile, your Airport Express and Printer are always ready to work.
Hope this helps someone out!
Happy New Year!
