The issue is that Spectrum (and other providers) are WPA2 - increased security. This HP printer won't accept the WPA2 password/passphrase. There is the issue that there is by defaul a space put in front of the phrase as you enter it so you need to backspace and start typing but it still doesn't work. HP is not updating the firmware for this printer for the better WPA2 passwords - pisses me off. This printer isn't that old and we should not have to default to a lesser secure network connection in order to use this **bleep** printer. I'm thinking of switching to a new vendor who is keeping up with the security issues we all face now. Grrrrr. There has been no response from HP on this thread which fixes our issue - which is that they need to update the **bleep** firmware of the printer.

Which probably means you dropped own to WPA security which is less secure. It's not a spectrum problem.

Will your solution here actually allow us to use WPA2 security then?
