Hi @m1366m2003, @Sushil16,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see that the printer is stuck initializing. I would like to help.
If the firmware was already updated, you can try the reset.
I can send you that information in a private message.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
Please let me know the results. If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below. Thank you.

Hi @m1366m2003,
Thanks for the PM.
Power cycle the printer. Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
You can manually move the carousel, since you said it won't move.
Open the scanner lid and the lid below that so you should see the toners.
On the left hand side of the black frame, you will see a oval hole with a white plastic piece inside it.
You will need to use something to push down on the white plastic piece, at the same time push the carousel backwards, don't touch the toner though. It has to be in the exact right position in order to be able to pull the toner out.
I included a picture with the general area, where to use the manual feature on the printer.
Please call our technical support if the issue persists, at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Contact HP.
Have a nice day!
Thank You.

I too just set up a brand new Pro MFP M177fw and it's stuck on initializing.
It worked for a while (10) minutes but after we rebooted it to get a new ip address it never came back up. Just stuck on initializing like the rest.
To follow up with some of your other suggestions I have already removed the power and network plug (they were the only two plugged in) After at least a minuted I plugged back in only the power cable and it did not change. Still stuck on initializing.
It is plugged directly into the wall power not a power strip.
Please PM me the super secrect instructions that apparently is too dangerous for the whole world to know so you make each person having this issue create an account to ask the same question over and over and over again.
(All thats for the manage there that made up that idiotic rule.)
Cheers,
Chris

Hi,
I have a new MFP M177fw which I haven't been able to install correctly. I've done everything suggested on the forum and other search results online but it's stuck on initializing. It appears that the toner carousel is stuck.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Susan

I too have the same problem, and the next step to try is the reset step. I have already
- installed new firmware
- removed the power and network plug, and had it unplugged for a minute; it is plugged into the wall, not into any extension cord or anything
-every other step mentioned in this thread; I've done the entire procedure twice, once on linux, once on windows (except for the firmware, for which you don't provide any way of updating under linux), nothing helps.
