How do I download this App

Where can I go to download the "HP Scan and Capture" software .... no scanning on my Photosmart 5510 ??

Went to this link.... read all the info... could not find anyway to download this APP....  How can i get to a download position for this App...

Can't find it on Microsoft app store....  it must be someplace???? everybody is talking about it... any suggestions???

I have HP6500 E709n all in one. I have recently got windows 8 and I cannot get my scanner to work

There is no place to accept the solution on my computer. I looked at the sample and that doen not happen.

From within the Microsoft App Store, simply start typing "HP Scan and Capture".    You should immediately see a search window pop up on the right hand side, and should see a match for "HP Scan and Capture".   From there you can download the app.

Unfortunately the HP 6500 E709n device is not supported at this time.  We are actively working on an update that picks up quite a few of these older devices, but it's not ready yet.     Once it is, I will let everyone know.

The first post in this thread lists the devices that we currently support.

I just migrated from XP to Windows 8 and trying to figure out how to scan from my trusted oll OJ 5510. It is not supported in the shining new "HP Scan and Capture" so while I am waiting for you to grandfather me in, can I use the old Director I used on XP?

Your site doesn't allow to download Director for Windows 8, only the bare driver (which I installed) and the old install I have has director bundled with the driver. Should I try installing it? If I do, can I install just the director without the driver - I imagine installing old XP driver over the new Win8 one will cause a mess?
