Spectre 13-4193nr x360 laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought an HP Spectre 13-4193nr x360 convertible laptop running Windows 10 Home. When I connect our printer (HP LaserJet P1102w black-and-white laser printer) to the laptop's USB port, Windows can see the printer and knows it by its correct name ("HP LaserJet Professional P1102w"), but doesn't know that the device is a printer. If I go to the Control Panel and then Devices and Printers, the printer is shown in the "Devices" row (along with the laptop and the mouse) and not the "Printers" row. If I select the printer's entry in the "Devices" row, Windows displays the printer's correct model name, but for the "Category" field, it states "Optical drive".

How do I tell Windows that this device is a printer and not an optical drive?
