I downloaded the file at the link provided by HP Expert @ferRX and ran it through Norton 360 to check. Norton reported the file as trusted:
That said, I tried to run this on my Windows 10 x64 21H2 system and it failed to finish, just hung. I suspect it is an issue with Flash not being available.

One feature you might look into - most of the newer all-in-one units have a front-panel USB connection where you can plug in a USB stick and scan directly from the unit to the USB stick. I find this feature handy for the rare times I need to scan.
