This keeps appearing:

One appears for each color, randomly. I've already aligned the cartridges, in some cases multiple times, yet the stupid banner keeps popping up. How do I get rid of it?

I get the same problem as well.  Have re-aligned the printer several times, and randomly the message pops up for a random colour. This is a new printer (less than 2 months old).

What gives.

I use MacOS 10.8.2 and have a photosmart 5510d series.

Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu to bypass the cartridge alignment. Then print a test page to verify that all of the colors are present.
