I know it may be too late, but this is the page I referenced http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/c309a-wireless-radio-not-functioning/td...

Thank you dj_boomer I did reference the photos and discussion you sent links to. Even though they are for the 309a it was very helpful in accessing the card inmy 309g. Slightly differnt but it worked. I am in and retrieved the part and ordered it.

Bull, This problem has a 1 in 6 chance with certain types of at&t routers, specifically the "Pace Model". Neither company will help, instead shifting it off to the other. Finally I resorted to my own program written to determine the problem, and turns out this solution above is best at solving the problem. Kudos to whoever figured it out.

Second wireless card failure. I had purchased a new one ( so I was told) from an ebay seller. Installed with no issue and worked fine for about a year and within the last few days same error as previous. As soon as I am able to replace this printer with a more reliable one I will do it. I do not have the space luxury of setting it to work with a pc as a network shared printer. I bought this thing purely as a standalone wirelessly networked device. Great disappointment.

IT WORKED!!!!! Although it took some time to receive the part, I put it in (very simple) and it immediately started working. We had several things in the queue that printed as soon as the printed booted up again. Thanks to all who offered their experitse. $33 fix vs. $200+ new printer hmmmmmmm seems like a no brainer to me!
HP was absolutely no help. They told me I would have to buy a new printer. Obviously they don't monitor this forum or the service techs might have learned something.
Again, thank you to all on the forum! And to the HP techs who made me angry enough to want to prove them wrong! LOL

You are most likely going to have to replace the wireless radio card. It was a quick and painless fix. If you go back through my post and the replies you will find directions and pictures. I am not a computer whiz by any stretch so believe me when I tell you it was pretty simple. I bought my card through Laserxperts.com $33 including shipping. Good luck!
