Hello Travis;

Followed your suggestion again, and there are NO such errors in the Event Log related to HP. In fact, I only found one item related to HP, but it was not an "error" but tagged "information". See description below:

The description for Event ID 0 from source HPSLPSVC cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

That's the only item with an HP file in the Event Log. So the problem must be somewhere else. Solution Center is still not working. Thanks for at least trying. I wish you could SOLVE this issue though.

Hello txbbqdude

Are you able to install the printer successfully on another computer? At this point it sounds like the problem may lie in with the Microsoft Software Installer (MSI). Installing the printer on another computer will isolate the problem to just one computer. You may want to consider saving your data and formating.

Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.

When a solution is found please mark the post that solves your issue.

I've had a problem where the software wouldn't load and looking through these pages, I managed to get mine working.

My problem was the installation was looking for file 7zS1B25 file in Temp folders and it wasn't there.

I deleted all files in the Temp folder and started over.

When I restarted the installation, I had the window open showing the Temp folder so I could see what was going on.

The file that HP loaded was a different one from the one needed to start the install.

I changed the name of the file to 7zSiB25, started the install again and the file the program dumped into the Temp folder was 7zS325A, but the installation was still looking for 7zS1B25 file, and as I had renamed the first file to that number, the program installed.

Hope this helps anyone else.
