Agree with all, it worked great on my PC up to the day when I installed the following Windows Update:
Hewlett-Packard - Printers - HP Color Laserjet CP1215
Since then, no graphics intensive print, no Transparency print mode, etc.
The update above lists on the History of updates, but I simply cannot find a way to Uninstall/Roll Back...

I finally managed to resolve the problem, although it took a while. Every time I installed the initial
HP drivers (from 2008), it kept finding the 2012 version somewhere, despite all my tries to delete them.
I then manually changed Windows settings in order not to install the device automatically,
pointed out the old drivers myself, and then changed back the Windows policy.
All good now, after several weeks of unecessary loss of time...

Thanks for the information!
I'm trying to find where to disable the auto update feature in windows 7 and having no luck...
I tried a google search, but what comes up doesn't work for me.
Again, thank you soooo much for identifiying this as a driver issue!!!!!!! Too bad HP wasn't able to figure this out. Maybe they should hire you...lol
I've wasted so much toner on this....so upsetting.......

OK, I have figured out how to disable the windows auto driver update, but not having any luck getting the 2012 driver removed and reverting to the 2008 driver.
ugh
I've emailed HP.
I've tried removing the printer and reinstalling. I've tried deleting the 2012 driver and it won't let me. Tried to install an use the 2008 driver and have been unsuccessful.
So frustrating. Does HP support even read here or is the only user supported?
Thanks everyone...

Let me try to describe what I've done (I've tried so many things last week that it's a bit confusing;
also, my Win 7 is in my language, so I hope I state the correct english Menus...):
- first, I unplugged the printer USB cable
- then, uninstalled the HP software
- re-started the PC
- went to Devices and Printers
- removed the printer (HP CP1215, if still there)
- chose one of the other printers (any, just one left lick), then chose Printing Server Properties (or something similar)
- went to Drivers, and then bottom left Change Driver Settings (or something similar, Admin needed)
- then chose the HP CP1215 Driver package, and chose to delete the Driver and Package
- then disabled the Auto Windows Update (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2500967)
- then plugged in the USB cable, and pointed out to the old drivers (2008), from the Full Installation File from the HP site
- then enabled Auto Windows Update
Hope this helps, still working OK in my case... What a waste of time.

Thank you so much! I did all that, but not in that order...lol
I'll give it a try today and see if I can get it to revert.
I got one communication from HP support, but they told me to call in. I don't want to have to go over the whole thing again and again on the phone since users have already identified the issue.
So much time and toner wasted..........
Again, thank you!

I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit and same poblem and already finished a couple cartridges. The denim pattern is annoying and overall image print quality is terrible. Has a solution to this issue has been found?

Hi guys,
I'm facing same issue as Alan76. Everything was fine untill I reinstalled OS, resp. replaced Win XP for Win 7 32 bit. All prints have diagonal lines (denim pattern) in colors since then. Also if 2 copies are printed out, 2nd copy is OK. I've carefully followed all steps given by Chrizzy2013 on 10-09-2013 04:08 PM and also made sure that windows auto-updates are disabled as suggested by PBEDENK on 01-06-2014 01:07 AM.
2008 (full) version was installed after that, but - the result is the same. Grrr. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks for help.
