Hey @dmohr ,

Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I understand that print-jobs from your HP PSC 1210v All-in-One Printer are coming out too large.  I would like to assist you in resolving this issue.

I have troubleshooting steps that may adjust the quality of your printouts.  Does this issue occur when printing from a specific program on your PC or is it happening for all print-jobs?  Are you printing from a web-browser?

Getting started, I recommend that you make a basic copy of a text document from the front panel of your printer.  Let me know if the print size is off when you try this.  If not, I suspect that the issue with your print size is software related.

If you were able to make a copy successfully without the print size issue occurring, let me know what program(s) you're printing from that result in overly large print size.  With this information I will be happy to provide you with more steps to correct the print setup.

Have a great day!

🙂

Hi, This is happening when I print from any program, i.e. internet, Paint, Windows Photo Viewer, etc.  It seems to work okay when printing from Microsoft Office, however, the print appears even smaller from that application.

I'm also printing from Internet Explorer, as well as Firefox.

Thanks for getting back to me and providing that detail.

Were you able to make a copy of a text-document from the printer's front panel without issue?  (I'm looking to determine if the problem is hardware or software related)

If when you make a copy of a text-document the print size is normal, this would indicate the problem is likely software-oriented.

I recommend you uninstall the printer first:

  • Click Start
  • Click on Control Panel
  • Click Programs and Features
  • Select your HP PSC 1210v All-in-One Printer from the list and click Uninstall

Next, click here to download and install the latest version of your printer's software.  Follow all of the requisite prompts to complete your setup.

Try printing from any one of the programs you listed earlier.  Does the print size issue persist?  Best of luck!

Thank you!  I'm going to try uninstalling & then reinstalling it... I will let you know!

That didn't work.  I uninstalled my printer & reinstalled the driver from your link.  I printed a "test page" that came out fine.  I think the problem is with printing from Internet Explorer as well as Firefox, regardless of how I change the 'zoom' on it, it still prints too large.

Thanks again for the update on your issue.  I think we're closing in on a resolution now.  🙂

Let me know if this helps.  Cheers!

I'm having a problem with my HP Officejet 6700 premium when printing emails from my Apple Mail program using my macbook and my iphone.    In fact the font from the exact same email printed off iphone is even bigger!

I think I must have reset the size of the fonts at some point but I don't need large fonts now and this is getting a bit ridiculous.

I checked my Accessibility settings on my computer and nothing seems amiss.  So I think it must be the printer itself.

Can you help me fix this?

Hello, @CB116

Thanks for reaching out! I'd like to help 🙂

I see that the font printed from the iOS device is bigger than the one that you printed from the MAC. First off, it cannot be the settings in the printer. If it was the printer settings, then it should change while printing from the MAC as well.

Let's try installing the HP All-in-One Remote app (HP AiO Remote app) to print from your iPhone. Go to Apple store and install the HP AiO Remote app on your phone.

I found a wonderful document which will give you instructions on how to use this app. Please go through the steps here: http://hp.care/2dlUQ2b

Try printing using the HP AiO app and check for the issue resolution.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Cheers 🙂
