Hey coolmanoh,

There is a document with information about how to perform scans with the Officejet 4620.  The document discusses how to scan multiple page documents into a single file.  As sabretooth04 mentioned, the HP Scan software should have a + box to add additional pages to the scanned document.

Please take a look at the document and let me know if it is able to get you the desired result.  The document can be found by clicking here.

You should have a + sign to add pages on your software.  Check.

There is no plus sign on the HP Scan window. There is an icon in the Crop box labeled "Add a new selection to create an additional image." If I click on it, it simply creates an additional image of the document I already scanned.

I went to the document via the link you supplied. I selected the HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver and downloaded the OJ4620_1315.exe file. The first time I ran this file, it allowed me to select certain options (one of which was the option to scan for editable text). But I guess I wasn't paying enough attention and made no selection. As a result, only the basic driver option was installed. Since then, I have uninstalled the software twice and ran the installation twice but I get the same result. The installation program no longer offers additional options.  Do I have to download the installation file again?

I would advise uninstalling your current version and redownload the install file.  As you mentioned, make sure to download the Full Feature Software and Driver.

Let me know how it goes.

I did that already and got the same result.  The HP download page shows 5 selections:

1. Driver - Product Installation Software (1)

2. Order Physical Media - CD/DVD/USB (1)

3. Software - ePrint (1)

4. Update (1)

5. Utility - Diagnostic Tools (2)

Selection 1 (which is described as Full Feature Software and Driver) I have downloaded twice. The first time I ran the install file I apparently had the option of choosing various features. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying close attention and made no selection and all I got was the basic driver software. So now there is a file or something in my computer that is effectively saying "Sorry, you had your chance. You don't get another one." Maybe something in the registry that should be deleted?

I don't have the plus sign to enable me to scan multiple pages from the flatbed glass.  I just reinstalled the driver but nothing has changed.  Please help!
