HP has confirmed that HP All-in-One software is not on offer for the current version of OSX
See I have a life.. and my life is worth more than fighting with HP for them to realize that they have already hashed this, know about it, and won't fix it.
I sure as heck will not waste my time on the phone with them discussing it.

@net-buoy wrote:LOL... HP Sales says that fully operational drivers dated Oct 2014 are available online, and that the forum suggesting that these drivers don;t work because of smb3 issues must be out of date.....
Except it's a printer firmware issue - not a driver issue. The printer does NOT broadcast the information about it's share data that Yosemite sees as compatible.

you are looking at this from a much more granular level than HP sales, @dao, lol. All they know is that they look and there is a link for OSX 10.10 software, so there is not problem (and its not just a firmware issue, in that the software on the computer has to communicate with the firmware, though the firmware is arguably where the SMB3 non-support really lies.)
Hp has now argued that scan to computer does the same thing as scan to network folder, but of course you do NOT have the controls available with scan to computer that you have available with scan to network folder.

There are HP players lurking here but their only function is to send you mysterious private messages. These messages will either:
(A) accuse you of breaking forum rules (for daring to ask for support on a product you have bought from HP) or
(B) tell you you will receive a private message from an HP support analyst. But beware this apparent nirvana is actually an illusion: I think HP put new employees into this task - giving them a one-off experience of dealing with a real customer before they are sucked inexorably into the HP machine that is designed to frustrate customers and deny service for ever more. Be assured your only route to get service is to buy an Epson printer

@TonyAZ623
What firmware has been "newly posted", lol.... Or are you just talking about the updated software package? I have yet to see any firmware updates since almost a year ago when HP posted new firmware to address a previous SMB issue, rofl...
