Hello hibble

Thank you for responding with the requested information. I would like you to download and install the HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers for the HP D110a Print for Windows 7 64-bit. These are the full drivers and all the software for the D110a running that operating system.

I hope this resolves your printing issue. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

My Kodac 5500 All in One will not print from my email. It says that drivers for this device not installed code 28. I have windows 8. It looks like it is pointing to SCAN which shows up under Other Devices and first in the list of the printer's hardware properties.

I followed your instruction, and I still get "drivers not installed". The block for update driver is not enabled also.

I have the same issue. I don't have the 7Z files in my temp directory. What do I do instead to resolve the error?

I have the same issue with my HP Photosmart C7250 All-in-One and my HP LaserJet P2055dn laser printer. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, 64-bit. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers through Device Manager, and uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of the HP Photosmart software.

The error message within Device Manager reads as follows:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Under the Device Driver details information the device driver name is listed as "Unknown" and the device driver date is shown as unavailable.

I have a Photosmart 6510 series printer and Device manager continues to show a problem in "Other Devices" section with code 28.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest HP software and this has not helped.  I am using the printer over my home network (wireless) and it performs just fine.  Any ideas as to what the problem is?  I am also showing an "Intel Management Engine Interface" error with a code 10.  Don't know if the two are related or not??

There are many of us that have the same issue and have uninstalled and reinstalled the appropriate software without the issue being resolved. This issue has been occuring for many years but I have not seen HP address it other than the standard answer of uninstalling and reinstalling the full version of the software (which doesn't address the problem). It would be nice if HP would respond by identifying the cause and solution.

I agree!!!

I have a MFP 1536dnf was having problems installing the full driver package on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. I was able to install the printer driver, but the HP SCAN was showing up in the Device Manger w/a exclamation point. First, I downloaded and installed 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/). Then, I right clicked the full driver package and clicked "7-Zip\extract to" and extraced the driver package. I then went back to Device Manger and right clicked HP SCAN and clicked "Update Driver Software" and selected the folder where I extracted the driver package. Now my scanner is correctly detected in Device Manager.
