I put in a new printer cartridge recently and now the printer prints some lines randomly on the page in italics. Why? How do I correct this?

Hi Ba-rk , thanks for getting back to me!
I hope you had a great weekend!
If you make a copy of something from the glass as opposed to aprint without italics, does the copy come out with italics?
I'd suggest removing the cartridges and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Please keep me posted!

Hello @Ba-rk and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you're experiencing print output issues. I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
Please let me know what you find. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

For some reason, the printer seems to have corrected itself, because my latest printing attempt has produced no stray lines in italics. Can it be that it s problem with new cartridges and the software you suggested, made a correction when I ran it. Anyway, problem solved, Thanks for aid!
