Hi! I recently had to replace my hard-drive on my computer and now my printer will not work. It was working fine yesterday, then when I went to reinstall everything today it doesnt.
These are all the steps I have taken and nothing seems to be working 😞
1. RUN a diagnostic with thr Microsoft fix it tool
2. Downloaded and ran the HP print and scan Doctor tool
3. Followed steps to clear spooling errors under services
Followed these steps from searches in this forum:
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install the printer using HP Smart app
- please help 🙏

What printer, how are you connecting to it?

Hello. Sorry I thought I put the printer in the info. Its a All in One inkjet 3830
My connection is through wifi - unfortunately at this time I cannot find the USB cord and will probably have to go buy one.
- I'd like to note I can print from other devices to the printer. I ended up having to upload everything I needed to print to my Google docs so I could print from my phone since my laptop won't print anymore. The phone worked fine and printed perfectly through wifi.
The issue arrived after the fresh install of windows 10. The laptop and HP software will find & connect to the printer and say installed but then I just can't print without those 2 errors. Or I'll get something like "you need to install a printer" from like Word and photoshop.
