My newly purchased (used) HP Deskjet 1512 is not printing. The paper feeds through and printing-type noises are made but each paper ends up blank; both black & color. Nor will a diagnostic page print. When this happens the “attention” light does not blink. The system says the color and black cartridges have plenty of ink. I have tried Phase One of cleaning the print heads. I have also made sure I have installed the latest driver for this printer operating with a MacOS system. I am out of ideas!

Hi @bakerla,
Power resetting the printer and then performing an automated/manual cleaning may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Clean the area around the ink nozzles, refer to step 11 from this document.
5) Plug the power cord back into the printer
6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
7) Perform an automated cartridge cleaning, refer to step 12 from this document.
Let me know how it goes!
