Have a HP 2852e printer.  When printing, pages are coming out blank.  Installed 2 new cartridges today and ran head cleaner already.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed in their slots. They should be seated securely and the cartridge latches should be closed properly.

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Confirm that the cartridges are compatible with your HP 2852e printer. Using non-compatible cartridges can sometimes cause printing issues.

Run a Test Print:

  • Try printing a test page to check if the issue persists. If the printer is printing blank pages during a test print, it indicates an issue with the printhead or cartridges.

Align the Ink Cartridges:

  • Whenever you install new ink cartridges, it’s important to align them for the best print quality. You can usually find this option in the printer’s settings menu.

Check for Protective Tape:

  • Make sure that any protective tape has been removed from the cartridges. Sometimes this tape blocks the ink from being dispensed.

Clean the Printhead:

  • While you mentioned having already run the head cleaner, you might want to try cleaning the printhead manually or running the cleaning utility multiple times to ensure there is no blockage.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink and are not empty or defective. Some printers provide an option to check ink levels via the printer’s status panel.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cable, wait a few moments, then reconnect the power and turn the printer back on.
