Hi @majwalter,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that you are getting a 30 error code on your HP Printer.

Steps to Clear Error 30:

  • Perform a Hard Reset: With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet. Wait at least 60 seconds. Plug it back in, preferably directly into a wall outlet.

  • Check for Physical Obstructions: Open the printer to check for paper jams, packing materials (if new), or anything preventing the carriage from moving.

  • Remove/Reseat Cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges, wait a moment, and reseat them. If the printer allows, try powering on with the cartridges removed to see if the error code changes.

  • Inspect Printer Internal Components: The error often indicates a faulty sensor or carriage jam.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
