I have an HP computer and an HP 4100 printer. I set up the printer correctly. I used the WIFI wizard setup and it said the WIFI settings were saved to the printer and I was now online. But that is not the case. Going back to the "network" section of the HP Smart App, it states WIFI is available but not connected!!! I try resetting and connecting to the WIFI through the wizard again and the same thing happens. Since I bought it, I have never had a solid blue WIFI light. It always blinks. This is beyond annoying. One part of the smart app says the WIFI is connected and another part of the same app says it's not. I have a TP Link mesh system connected to fiber, so there is no WPS router button for a quick fix. I've seen that solution elsewhere. I can make no sense of this. I have run every scan HP recommends and they don't even catch this issue or resolve it. What's worse is I can run diagnostics between my HP PC and my network, but I can not do the same for my HP printer. I've tried running Windows diagnostics as well and it does not see the connectivity problem either. I hate only being able to print offline. Has anyone run into this issue? Thanks.

You have a mesh system and the printer (if connected) is on a different subnet than the PC
Get a network report from the printer. If the network report shows (for example) 192.168.1.15 then try adding the printer manually.
Bring up the PC's printers and scanner page and select the option to find the printer manually
Use the last option show above and click next
If the IP4 address does now show up as an existing port, then select a new port and put in the printers IP4 address 192.168.1.15
Click next and look for the printer model

You may need to assign a static IP address in the router for the printer so it is not changed after a power failure.
If you need more help I recommend the TP Link community forum
