Hi @TLB122,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "E0" on an HP DeskJet 4100 All-in-One printer typically indicates a paper jam or a paper-related issue. If your printer is only printing the information page and nothing else, it's likely that there is a paper jam or a paper sensor issue preventing it from processing print jobs. Here's what you can do to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open all the access doors and remove any jammed paper. Make sure to check all possible areas where paper might be stuck, including the input and output trays, the paper path, and the rear access panel.
- Gently remove any torn pieces of paper.
Clear the Print Queue:
- Sometimes, a print job in the queue can cause printing issues. Clear the print queue on your computer by canceling all print jobs.
Reset the Printer:
- After clearing any paper jams and the print queue, plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.
Check Paper Type and Size:
- Ensure that the paper you're using matches the paper type and size settings in the printer's paper tray. The printer may not print if there's a mismatch.
Clean Paper Rollers:
- Dirty or worn paper rollers can cause paper feeding problems. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water or isopropyl alcohol.
Check for Foreign Objects:
- Look for any foreign objects or debris inside the printer that might be obstructing the paper path.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing issues. Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download them from the HP website.
Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:
- As a last resort, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue and the error code "E0" persists, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
