@Paidbutcantuse, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding E0 Cartridge Error!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The E0 error indicates a problem with the cartridge, either an aftermarket or genuine HP cartridge. Here's a step-by-step guide to resolving this issue:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer's top cover.
  • Remove the ink cartridge and make sure no protective tape is still attached.
  • Reinsert the cartridge making sure it is securely installed.

Use Genuine HP Cartridge:

  • Confirm you are using the correct HP cartridge. Model HP 67 is the right one for many HP printers, but ensure it's compatible with your specific printer model.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the cartridge and gently clean the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Allow the cartridge to dry before reinserting it.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and power it on.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware update. You can visit the HP support website to download updates.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
