Solved!

4650 won't print. Says turned off when it's on.

HP Recommended
Example: OfficeJet 4650
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I know little about computers or other devices.  I was trying to print a document and nothing happened.  Worked fine last time.

Did the troubleshooting and it says my printer is off, but it's not.

Going through with virtual chat, I received that a page is stuck in the queue.  I cancelled all of the items there.  Still won't print.

Tried another troubleshoot  and got a popup window with 'Failed to extract cab'  Below that is: Caliburn.micro.dll...

No idea what that means.

I've tried unplugging , troubleshooting, virtual chat and nothing changes.  Has printed 2 test pages, but won't print anything else.

Advice please!  And please be as clear as possible for someone who doesn't know much about this.

Thanks!

Carol

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL61230/mp-147816-1/OJ4650_Full_WebPack_1122.exe and follow the onscreen instructions

Thank you so much for the detailed instructions.  It worked!  It was driving me crazy.  I hadn't changed anything and it just stopped communicating with my computer.

I really appreciate it!

Thanks again!!!
