Should have taken it back to Officemax April of 2020 (bought Dec of 2019) when it started streaking on black ink.
now it gives error oxc6fd0023 it is of course out of warranty
I did not use it during the rest of 2020 and 2021 due to working from home -- HP wont consider extending its warranty due to the pandemic.
closes HP shop is 64 miles away. I opened it up today and the roller has a lot of black ink...cleaned it still the same error. the error message used to have a "hide" button so I can go back and perhaps use it as a scanner. now the "hide" disappeared (lcd screen smaller and cut off) so it is paper weight.
i have a few other HP lasers and I am happy. but not with this pagepro, which seems to be junk and used for less than 1000 pages and cost $600.
did all kinds of resets with a HP chat and now I was asked to send it in for repair at my own cost.

This error is related to voltage of the print bar mechanism. Likely the print bar will need to be replaced and that cost will far exceed the value of the unit. We have found these units to be pretty reliable, if you print a lot. They do not take well to occasional printing as you have discovered.

Yes, on pagewide devices it is called a print bar because it extends across the whole page and is stationary and prints while the paper moves under it, unlike standard inkjets where the head moves back and forth across the page to print.
