Hi @BAP9 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the 50.4 Fuser Error on the HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw indicates a problem with the fuser unit, which is responsible for melting the toner onto the paper. This specific error suggests that the fuser is experiencing a problem with the temperature control, often related to power issues. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet.
- Turn the printer back on.
Check the Power Source:
- Ensure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or surge protector, as these can sometimes cause power issues.
- Try a different wall outlet to rule out any problems with the current outlet.
Reset the Printer:
- Sometimes resetting the printer to factory settings can clear errors. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to reset your specific model.
Inspect the Fuser Unit:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the printer to access the fuser unit (usually located at the back of the printer).
- Check for any visible damage or signs of wear.
- Ensure that the fuser is properly seated and that all connections are secure.
Firmware Update: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues.
Replace the Fuser Unit:
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the fuser unit may need to be replaced. Refer to your printer’s manual for instructions on how to replace the fuser unit.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Fuser is the most likely failure point so I would start there.
