50.4 Fuser error.

Tried resetting - didn't work.

Should I replace fuser power supply only or fuser?

I understand you are getting the 50.4 Fuser Error on the HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw indicates a problem with the fuser unit, which is responsible for melting the toner onto the paper. This specific error suggests that the fuser is experiencing a problem with the temperature control, often related to power issues. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

 

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check the Power Source:

  • Ensure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or surge protector, as these can sometimes cause power issues.
  • Try a different wall outlet to rule out any problems with the current outlet.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes resetting the printer to factory settings can clear errors. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to reset your specific model.

Inspect the Fuser Unit:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the printer to access the fuser unit (usually located at the back of the printer).
