CL M575f

I have a M575 with this 50.7f.00 error refering to the fuser alienation. I have tried the fuser a few times, tested the sensor and ran the component test. Before I tear into it I was hoping someone had a path for me to go on. Might be somethingh simple but need another viewpopint. Thanks

The "7" says it's a fuser pressure release mechanism failure.

Likely it's a bad fuser.

It could be the fusing drive assembly. Check the white gear at the botton of the drive asm. for broken teeth.

Here are a couple of part numbers for reference:

RM1-8134-000CN Fusing drive assembly (duplex models only)

RM1-8169-000CN Fusing drive assembly (simplex models only)

You can test the Pressure Release Sensor using the Manual Sensor Test.

Stephen is that You? Tom from the old CHM. Well fuser has been replaced 3 times and problem returns. I know the issues with the fuser drive assy all too well like on CP3525 the solenoid sticks. The thing is this is relatively new and not alot of pages. I have not taken it all apart yet to look at that. I ran the comonet test and I think it makes a strange noise but it has been a few months. Have to recheck because it is still a good MFP. Thanks for the reply and the info.

Yep, it's me.

Emailed you a Control Panel Message Document so you wouldn't have to search it out, it has a picture of a damaged gear.

Just as an update I tore printer down and examined the fuser drive assy. the gear mentioned previously was not missing teath but one of the associated gears was not secure enough to drive said gear. The plastic bushing was out of place. Once re-installed the issue was resolved.

I knew you could fix it Tom.

Heck, you used to keep me straight on LaserJets when I was learning them.

Hi both,

having just got rid of an older CM3530 and more recent MFP 575 with fuser errors, a brand new one has just arrrived (via maritime freight to my island location), and guess what....       50.7f.00  again!      I could cry.

Can you give me a little more detail on the exact nature of the plastic bushes I need to check on the fuser assembly?  Have looked hard and all seem solid, although the casing on the fuser near the green lift-up tabs seems a little "spread", but always seem to see this on these fuser units.

a pic might be worth a thousand words if you have one!

Any help ASAP would be great.

to add, there is a very light grinding, as the machine initially starts, suggesting gears, just for first 5 secs or so.

The bushing mentioned previously was part of the fuser drive assembly not part ox the the fuser.
