Hello, @joebirle1 – Hope you are well 🙂
Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I understand that the Photosmart 5514 printer is printing light. Let’s start by performing a printhead cleaning as suggested below:
-
Make sure that plain white U.S. letter or A4 size paper is loaded in the tray.
-
From the control panel home screen, touch the Right Arrow (
), and then touch the Setup icon (
).
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. The printer cleans the printhead and then prints a test page.
-
Review the print quality on the test page and perform the cleaning steps again if required.
If the issue persists, then try additional steps as suggested here: http://hp.care/2st9Cdb
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂
