First, the lights on my HP 5600 went 'crazy' and they ALL flashed. Got that to stop by pressing both buttons together.
Then, when I tried to print, it said that my printer was 'offline' and that it was 'not connected'
Checked ALL wires (yes I'm still hard wired), disconnected and reconnected power and USB.
Still, printer was 'offline' and 'not connected'.
NOW, when I try to print, the option for sending the document to "HP 5600 printer" is NO LONGER THERE.
Does anyone have the 'program' for the HP 5600 series (I have the 5650), so that I can "re install" the program, and get this printer working again??
OR, if you know how I can fix this, let me know.
I absolutely LOVE my HP 5600, and don't want to 'trash it'. Besides, I really cannot afford to buy a new printer right now.
Anyone, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, help!!!
Thanks,
alanNYC

@alanNYC, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print. Due to the age of the printer, the driver is not available on the HP Support site.
Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. If this model printer is not listed, you may select Deskjet 990c driver.
Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.
For assistance with USB setup, refer to - HP printer setup (USB cable)
If this does not help, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
