really...HP sells the small black in a package so that you think you are getting a bonus...BTW you need to purchase the 564XL separately. Agree with other comments bait a switch by HP!!!!!!!

Another gigantic rip-off on printer ink.  I spent $96 at Costco on a combo pack of ink and just learned from these posts that the black ink cartridge is worthless for my printer.  $96 is absolutely ridiculous anyway and now I have one of the four that I have to discard.  Let alone the fact that I am in the middle of a project.  When are the consumer protection organizations going to take up the issue of printer ink being so extraordinarily expensive?

and that is why i went to the epson et 4500 cost i $500 but...i haven't had to buy ink for 2 plus years so I am even now and ahead for the next 10 plus years
