I am trying to print on 5x7 cardstock, which is something I have done in the past. Every time I try to print it only prints the bottom or top half of the picture. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and this did not help. I've tried to print from the HP app on my iPhone, directly from the picture and from my mac. None of it is working. The print preview shows that everything is normal but it still is printing incorrectly.

Hi @kelssi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!

Printing issues like this on cardstock can sometimes be related to incorrect settings or alignment. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

Paper Settings: Ensure that the paper size and type settings in your printer and printing software match the 5x7 cardstock. Verify that the paper is loaded correctly into the printer tray.

Printer Properties: Open the printer properties or preferences on your computer before printing. Check the settings to confirm that they match the paper size and type you're using.

Margins and Scaling: Ensure that the content you're trying to print fits within the printable area of the 5x7 cardstock. Adjust the margins and scaling settings in your printing software if necessary to fit the image properly.

Printer Alignment: Some printers offer alignment adjustments. Look for an option to calibrate or align the printer within the settings menu on the printer's control panel or through the printer software on your computer.

Test Print: Before printing the entire image, try a test print on regular paper. This allows you to adjust settings and check for any issues without wasting cardstock.

Printer Driver Update: Check for any available updates for your printer's driver. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing problems. Visit HP's official website to download and install the latest driver for your HP Envy 5052 printer. Click here

Reset Printer: If none of the above steps work, try resetting the printer to its default settings. This might help clear any internal glitches causing the printing problem.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, there might be a hardware-related issue with the printer itself.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
