I'm having the same problem. I've gone through the "turn it off and back on again" step so many times I've lost count. I've reinstalled the firmware and upgraded to the newest version, but the problem persists and the link provided does not even go to the "Welcome to HP" page either.
Even though I opened a case with HP before the warranty expired, they have been no help.
I read on a couple of printer repair sites this could be one of a couple of things.
One recommended reseating the RAM installed in the printer, according to the position indicated. "61" being a RAM related error, "00" indicating set "0" and "02" indicating the second RAM slot.
The other said to replace the hard drive in the printer.
I'm going to try these and see if either stops the errors from appering and I'll update my post after each.

On an HP PageWide ColorFlow 586Z, I was getting a 61.00.03 Printhead error. Updated the Firmware with no change in status. System was still under warranty, so I submitted a ticket with HP. They sent a service tech that replaced the Formatter and power supply. Error persisted, so I replied to the email and let them know it was still happening. They sent an additional technician, swapped the main body of the printer which including the print head. Issue resolved. The 2nd technician (paraphrasing) said if the printhead gets out of wack that it causes all sorts of issues and is very difficult to recalibrate.

Hi I am having the same issue 61.00.02 & 61.00.00 errors, I am just wondering, did you ever find a fix? I pulled the cartridges out and restarted it and I managed to break out of the initialization mode and I noticed a exclamation warning on the copy button. However, the print function won't work either. Any fixes would be appreciated 🙂
