I tried to print a document that contained 4 pages or so, and after 2 pages, it quits, while flashing all its lights, and with a blue touchscreen showing the code and the power symbol. I tried the following to fix the problem, per HP support questions and per a Costco Concierge services representative:
1. Soft re-boot of printer (unplug, plug back in after ~10 seconds
2. Hard re-boot of printer (unplug from the back of printer while the printer is on, leave unhooked for 60 seconds, then plug back in)
3. Delete printer from Mac printers list and re-install
4. Delete printer cue from Mac
5. Check for updates to firmware (printer says it is up to date, and has automatically been updating)
I recently installed a new genuine HP 64 XL ink cartridge, and that seemed to go smoothly as the printer gave me the message "genuine HP ink cartridge installed" and the test paper turned out fine.
Costco Concierge service told me to reach out to HP for help. Thank you.

Hi @,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I see that you are getting Error message 6201922A on your printer.
Follow the below steps to fix this issue.
Step 1: Remove the printer from the printer list
Search the Mac for Print, and then click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners in the list of results.
Find the printer names that match your printer from the list of devices.
Figure : Printers and Scanner window with multiple names of a printer in the list
If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list. Leave one 'idle' printer in the list that matches your printer if available and use this printer as the Default printer.
Try printing again.
If the printer prints, you can stop troubleshooting.
If the printer remains offline or displays an error, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Delete the existing print queue and add the printer with Airprint
Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.
If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for AirPrint. Click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer, click the plus sign
, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.
Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.

Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
Cheers.
