HP Envy 4250
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My brand new Envy 4250 prints on regular paper just fine. I'm trying to print wedding invitations on 65lb cardstock (it claims it can support 110lb, so it should be no issue.) It printed 2 pages on the 65lb cardstock, and now it won't fully feed the paper through, resulting in a jam every time. Help?! Time is running out!

-I've gone though all the trouble shooting, installed driver after driver, tested, retested, and still won't print. I bought it specifically for this, and it won't cooperate.

Congratulations to whomever is getting married!

Specifications > Paper Handling

Cards
Up to 200 g/m2 (110 lb index)
Up to 20 cards (17 mm [0.67 inch] stacked)

Card Stock is not all the same -- I would guess that for this special purpose you have selected some sort of "fancy" card stock, perhaps something with a slight "surface" to it (to enhance the look and feel).

If that is the case, this printer, although rated for card stock, may not "like" the surface of the paper. That means, the printer "feed" cannot handle the paper properly in spite of the fact that the weight is within specifications.

OK.. Let's assume that the paper can be used.

Some places to check...

Check / verify / select the print settings for printing on Card Stock in the application (program) you are using to submit the job to the printer.

For example:

Media type (kind of paper) from list:  Card, Index Card, "something" that is "card" - or, if available, try Brochure matte (or glossy)

Source (tray) - Select "tray 1" - Do not leave source as "automatic" or similar

Paper Size - Select a size that is available in the list for your Media type

Hints:

Do not overfill the tray - to start, try placing about ten sheets of the card paper in the tray.

Dragon document includes how / where to check the settings and may prove useful in context.

Unfortunately, there is nothing in the document that helps with "printer will not feed the #&!* paper".  :Crying:
