I need to set the network settings of my officejet 7310 multifunction printer manually, but the software puts me in a loop that never allows me to save my manual settings. I know there has to be a way to save my manual network settings, but how to do it is not obvious. Please let me know how to manually set my network settings on my 7310 officejet. Keep in mind that i have already reviewed the user guide and the quick start and network user guide and the instructions in all three of these guides are neither helpful or accurate.

Hello @danjdial,
Thanks for the reply. I definitely want to help you with this issue 🙂
I am not clear when you said you want to setup the manual settings for your printer. Do you mean that you need to setup a manual IP address for your printer after connecting the ethernet cable? (Please correct me if I am wrong) If so follow the steps below:
1. Obtain the printer IP address once the printer is connected using the ethernet cable. If you are unsure, print a test page to get the IP address.
2. Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
3. Now, locate and go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
4. Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
5. Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Let me know if this helps!
Cheers 🙂

Hello @danjdial – Hope you are well 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others.
I understand that you are trying to setup network connection to your printer. I will certainly help you to get this done. 🙂
There are 2 options to connect this printer to the network. Please find the details below:
- Ethernet (wired) connection: Simply connect the Ethernet cable from the printer to the router to get the printer connected to the network.
- HP bt300 Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter (HP bt300): Please follow the steps mentioned in http://hp.care/2hNSckZ to get the printer connected using the Bluetooth adapter.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Good luck & Wish you a very happy new year 🙂
