HP Smart Tank 750 All-in-One

The printer ink warning symbols and flashing warning light (!) appeared on the printer display and after refilling all ink reservoirs those warning symbols and light remain. I have checked that everything has been closed properly, tried switching off the printer from the mains for over a minute to no avail.  The suggested factory reset holding down the printer control buttons is ineffective. Not sure what else to do in this situation

@DavidB5678, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If the ink warning symbols and the flashing warning light (!) continue to display on your HP Smart Tank 750 printer even after refilling the ink reservoirs, here are a few steps you can follow to address the issue:

Refill Ink Tanks Properly:

  • Ensure that the ink tanks are filled correctly with the appropriate ink levels. Check that the ink reservoir caps are securely closed to prevent any ink leakage.

Check Ink Level Indicators:

  • Pay attention to the ink level indicators on the printer's control panel to ensure they reflect the current ink status accurately.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can help reset the printer’s memory and resolve any errors.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • If the warnings persist, perform a hard reset of the printer. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, then reconnect and turn the printer back on.

Check for Printhead Issues:

  • Inspect the printhead for any issues. Clean it if necessary, as sometimes printhead errors can trigger warning lights.

Consult HP Support:

  • If these steps do not resolve the issue, refer to the HP Customer Support for further assistance. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting based on your specific situation.
