I went to print some photos on my mac. It seems the print menu has changed. I cannot find any place to pick "Photo paper" and thus it printed on a full sheet of paper. I was able to pick 4 x 6 but cannot find any place in all of the HP apps that even mentions "photo" or "photo paper" or "photo tray". I am not a computer wiz at all, but my 25 year old is stumped too. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Hello @livelifed2d,
Appreciate your efforts.
This is good news. This means that the issue is not with the printer hardware and is just with the printer software that is on the computer or with the app that you are trying to print the photo.
Try the steps mentioned below:
- Uninstall the old printer drivers first. Follow the steps mentioned here: http://hp.care/2cKwLyC
- Now run the Apple Software Update. Check here for steps: http://hp.care/2cNgw3C
- Restart your computer and printer.
- Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
- Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
- Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
- Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
- Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
- Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
- Now click http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL52083/mp-125883-3/HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.38.d... to install the printer driver.
- In the “Add printer” window, make sure you add the printer as mentioned below:
- Click the “Add button” (+).
- Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
- Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)
Now try to print the picture. If the issue persists, then try printing the photo using a different app.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Cheers 🙂

Hello @livelifed2d,
Appreciate your efforts.
To assist you better, I need to know whether the printer can make a "Photocopy" or not.
Place a picture face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Go to copy settings and change the paper size and the paper type and then make a copy.
Let me know if the printer is making good copy or not.
Thank you!
