HP Photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all. I have a problem with my HP Photosmart 7520. I recently changed some ink and I don't think I seated one of them correctly when I closed the access door as the printer made a loud quick clicking noise. I opened the access doo and seated the ink cartridge properly but the following error message appeared:

Missing our failed printhead: The printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed.

I have searched and searched on line and followed all the usual solutions (reset the printer; cleaned the printhead and printer; reset the prinhead etc.), to no avail.

After exhausting all options, I bit the bullet and bought a new prinhead. I have just installed the new printhead and I am still getting the same erroro message. I have tried all the solution again but nothing is working. I thought I would try here as a last resort before scrapping the printer and buying a new one.

Any ideas?

Update (5 minutes after posting):

I read somewhere that if removing all cartridges and printed head, then resetting the printer doesn't work, try it 3 times.

I did just that and on the 3rd time it sprung back into life!

I guess patience is a virtue!

Well the sugestion of removing the ink cartridges and the print head and reinstalling all at least three times DID NOT WORK for me.  I actually removed and reinstalled 8 times, turned the printer on and off, unpluged it pluged it back in, uninstalled it from the pc several times.....NOTHING.....I guess I'm out today in search of a new printer.....
