Came into the store this AM and my laserjet pro m254dw printer has a 79 service error. It is stuck in a continuous loop. Followed all virtual assistant sugestions. Nothing has helped. If I leave the network cable unplugged I have no error, as soon as I plug the network cable in I get the 79 service error and the continuous looping. How do I fix this? Thank you.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I suggest trying to unplug your router for a moment first, then restart the printer and check if the error remains or not, by that you remove any possible device to cause the error.
Next power on your router back and check the print queue for your computers, if there is any print job in the queue be sure to cancel it.

I have tried your suggestions. In fact I took the printer home and connected to my home network. The service error has gone away but now the printer cannot connect to the internet. When I try to connect to the printers IP address it times out. I have even tried connecting wireless with the same results.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
